Our History

Thelma Crenshaw Elementary School opened in 1987 to serve the growing population along Bailey Bridge, Claypoint, Genito, and Hull Street Roads. The school was named after a long time Chesterfield County Public Schools teacher and administrator, Mrs. Thelma Crenshaw, who attended school on opening day and made frequent appearances at school events. She had 42 years of service in the school district.
